Temporary General Laborer Position
The Winchendon Housing Authority is looking for (1) one temporary employee to work 20-25 hours each week for approximately 6-8 weeks. All applicants must have the ability to work in many different types of working environment and climate. Work involves painting, grounds-keeping and related work in vacant units during the renovation process. Painting consists of both interior and exterior units. Grounds keeping will require the use of several types of power equipment and hand tools. Applicants must be able to perform repetitive lifting of weights more than 75 pounds and repetitive actions consisting of racking lawns, sweeping sidewalks, walking long distance and any other tasks asked to perform. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have an active Massachusetts Drivers License with no restrictions. The hourly pay rate will be between $17 and $19/hour, commensurate with experience and ability. Applications can be acquired from the WHA office. Applications and/or resumes must be sent to Attn. After review and the top applicant is selected, they will be screened by the (CORI) Criminal Offenders Record Information Board and Employment physical cleared by the WHA before being selected for the position. The WHA has the right to withdraw this posting if it is in the best interest of the WHA to do so.
